It’s something Gawker’s snarky arbiters of culture would normally find irresistible: an ad for a TV show in the form of a blog embedded within a popular website – that is if the fake blog paid for by HB wasn’t on the Gawker blogging website itself. Gawker Media added a disclaimer in tiny print at the bottom of the "Bloodcopy" blog purporting to be written by a vampire named Andrew to distinguish it from editorial copy after a Gawker editor objected to the blurring line between editorial and ad copy. In a posting titled "About That Vampire Blog Thing" Gawker managing editor Gabriel Snyder said Gawker should have done a better job distinguishing the fake blog from the regular editorial copy. "Gawker Media has been taken to the media criticism woodshed over this one" he wrote. HB says the blog promoting its series True Blood was meant to be fun not to deceive.

I really don’t take much of what Amare is saying right now seriously. Why for example would Mike D’Antoni who didn’t talk to Amare “as a friend” want Stoudemire back now? Amare (like Shaq and maybe even Nash) is going to say a lot of things before final resolution. Maybe he’s trying to gain leverage over the Suns because he thinks he’s so loved here in Phoenix and the fans will rally to his support and start a Save ur Amare campaign? Maybe he’s just telling the guy on the radio what he thinks he wants to hear.
