Home improvement blogs offer expertise support

You’ll find kindred spirits on the Web bloggers who share the minutiae of home improvement in exacting and sometimes humorous detail. As with so many blogs the writers go by first names or nicknames but that doesn’t mean the information isn’t helpful or entertaining. Take for example the former contractor-drywaller-cabinetmaker-carpenter of Remodeling for Geeks (theheadlemur. com) who provides this quiz to gauge your DIY addiction. “Remodeling is like any other human activity.

“Hey can you believe he said that?” “Wow I didn’t know Jay was into Hugh Grant?” “Mimi Siu? Who’s Mimi Siu?” “Jeff Booth is part wookie?huh?” “That editor girl’s unicorn rocks hard!”I say the non-bloggers don’t know what they’re missing. Newsday NY -
I assume A-Rod will start the news conference with an opening statement in which he will reiterate his sorrow and embarrassment for being caught up in baseball’s ‘loosey-goosey’ steroid environment etc. What I wonder though is if A-Rod or his people will attempt to place any restrictions on questions. If they’re smart they won’t because that would not set a good tone to what likely could be the most career-defining news conference for the guy commonly referred to as the best player in baseball today. I also wonder if A-Rod will admit to taking steroids. If you notice in the ESPN interview he was careful to say he took a “banned substance.

As I’ve said a couple of times this week we’re converting this blog over to a WordPress platform and it will be a permanent move the first of next week. Those of you who are regulars probably know that I’m not what you’d call techno-wizard when it comes to these things. But from what I understand the technology offered in this new format should make the blogging and commenting experience better for all. f course I’ll be learning as we go along too. But I’m hoping to provide more pictures and video and things like that which should bring the blog more to life.
