Blogs should follow Vietnamese law and be written in “clean and wholesome” language according to a government document seen by local media. Internet service providers will be held accountable for the content of blogs they host. More than 20 million Vietnamese use the internet – a quarter of the population. 18 attempt to rein in Vietnam’s booming blogosphere. It has become an alternative source of news for many in the communist country where the media is state-controlled. The new rules require Internet companies that provide blogging platforms to report to the government every six months and provide information about bloggers on request. The companies are also required to prevent and remove content the government deems harmful. The regulations written by the Ministry of Information and Communications encourage bloggers to use “clean healthy Vietnamese language. ” They clarify earlier Internet regulations that were introduced in August. Ministry official Luu Vu Hai would not say whether the new regulations will apply to international companies like Google or Yahoo or would only restrict the operation of Vietnamese firms.

Because everyone knows that every American has got a blog. It’s written in the First Amendment I think. But the problem here is that every American not only has one blog but a little too many and even on different platforms. I must confess; I am guilty of taking my blogging rights for granted. Even exercising our right to write free Internet speech gets tiring sometimes when updating is an all-day task (some of us have jobs to be at but not the majority).

Since I didn’t buy Rob’s first edition of Blogging to the Bank I don’t really have the confidence to buy this newer edition at first. However after looking through the reviews by various bloggers and buyers I started to know that Rob’s first edition of Blogging to the Bank was a really bargain.
